• The JY Matrimonial mobile application for Android (package name com.jesusyouthmatrimonial.app), available on Google Play,

together referred to as the "Platform".

We comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applicable in India.

Information You Provide

• Registration data: Name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, gender, and password.
• Profile data: Religion, denomination, education, occupation, height, marital status, location, family details, partner preferences, and profile photographs you choose to upload.
• Communication data: Messages and interests sent to other members, and messages sent to our support team.
• Payment data: Billing name and transaction reference numbers when you purchase a subscription. Payments are processed by our payment partner (Razorpay); we never receive or store your full card number, CVV, or UPI PIN.

Information Collected Automatically

• On the website: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, and referring URLs.
• In the mobile app: Device model, operating system version, app version, unique push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token), IP address, and crash/diagnostic logs.
• Security data: Login timestamps and session activity for fraud prevention and account security.

Sensitive Personal Data

Certain information you provide — such as your religious beliefs and denomination — constitutes "Sensitive Personal Data or Information" (SPDI) under Indian law. We collect this only with your explicit consent, because it is essential to the matrimonial matching service you are requesting, and we use it solely for profile matching purposes.

We do not collect your precise GPS location, contact list, call logs, or SMS messages.

The JY Matrimonial Android app requests the following device permissions. Each permission is optional and requested only when you use the related feature:

• Camera: To take a photo for your profile, only when you choose to do so.
• Photos / Media / Storage: To let you pick existing photos from your device for your profile.
• Notifications: To deliver push notifications about new matches, interests, and messages. You can disable these at any time in your device settings.
• Internet access: To communicate with our servers.

The app does not access your camera, photos, or microphone in the background.

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

• To create, operate, and manage your account on our Platform.
• To verify your identity via one-time passwords (OTP) sent to your mobile number by SMS or WhatsApp.
• To match your profile with compatible partners based on your preferences.
• To display your profile to other registered members of the Platform.
• To send you match recommendations, interests, messages, and service updates via in-app notifications, push notifications, email, or SMS.
• To process subscription payments and maintain billing records.
• To detect and prevent fraud, fake profiles, abuse, and security breaches.
• To improve our Platform through analytics and user feedback.
• To comply with legal obligations under applicable Indian laws.

Your profile information (excluding your contact details, unless you choose to share them) is visible to other registered members as part of the matrimonial service. Beyond this core functionality, we share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Payment processing: Razorpay processes subscription payments on our behalf.
• Push notifications: Google Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers push notifications to the mobile app.
• OTP delivery: SMS and WhatsApp gateway providers deliver one-time passwords to your mobile number.
• Hosting: Our servers and databases are hosted with secure infrastructure providers in India.
• Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or government authority.
• Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
• Business transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred to the new entity, subject to the same privacy protections.

We require all third-party service providers to maintain appropriate security measures and to use your data only as instructed by us and for no other purpose.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience. The mobile app uses secure on-device storage to keep you signed in.

Types of Cookies We Use

• Essential cookies: Required for the Platform to function (e.g., login session, CSRF protection).
• Preference cookies: Remember your theme (dark/light mode) and other settings.
• Analytics cookies: Help us understand how users interact with the Platform to improve our services.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may affect Platform functionality.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction:

• All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL (HTTPS).
• Passwords are stored using strong cryptographic hashing algorithms (bcrypt) — we never store plain-text passwords.
• API access from the mobile app is protected by personal access tokens that you can revoke by logging out.
• Access to member data is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis.
• Regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments are conducted.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Specifically:

• Active account data is retained for the duration of your membership.
• Upon account deletion, personal data — including your profile, photographs, and messages — is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
• Transaction and billing records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax laws.
• Safety-related records (reports of abuse, policy violations) may be retained longer to protect our community.

How to Delete Your Account and Data

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data in either of the following ways:

• From the Platform: Log in and go to Settings → Deactivate / Delete Account.
• By email: Send a deletion request from your registered email address to info@jesusyouthmatrimonial.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request". We will verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Uninstalling the mobile app does not by itself delete your account; please use one of the methods above.

You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for processing of your sensitive personal data at any time.
• Opt out of notifications: Disable push notifications in your device settings, or adjust email/SMS preferences in your account settings.
• Grievance redressal: Lodge a complaint with our Grievance Officer.

Our Platform is intended solely for adults of legal marriageable age (18 years or older for women, 21 years or older for men, as per Indian law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age, and registration requires date-of-birth verification.

If you believe a minor has registered on our Platform, please contact us immediately at info@jesusyouthmatrimonial.com and we will take immediate action to remove the account and associated data.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, features of the mobile app, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
• Send an email notification to all registered users.
• Display a prominent notice on the Platform for at least 7 days.

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
